Welcome

As a stay at home mom for many years, I would occasionally channel surf in the odd moments that the children had gone on a play date or were busy playing in their room and didn’t need a shop keeper or some one to come to their restaurant. I was always amazed when I did find shows related to kids, most of them would be based on how to fix my kid. You only have to watch an episode of Nanny 911 to see what I mean or a chat show where the parents are sending their kids to boot camp.

Now I’m not saying that I did everything right everytime, but I have raised and am still raising great kids and that is not just from a mother’s biased opinion, but also from people they meet everyday in the community - teachers, neighbours, employers, strangers on the bus. I am often complimented on my kids behavior and I’m sure it makes them as proud of them selfs as I am of them as their parent.

I have always been a very strong believer in self fullfilling prophecy and always told my self and my kids that they were great kids. That they should always try their best and if that B in math on the report card was their best effort then they should be very satisfied and not disappointed that the grade was not an A. Not everyone will pull As all the time and as long as you tried your best and asked for help when needed, who can possibly ask for more of you.

I am the mother of four wonderfull kids, two girls and two boys aged 20, 18, 11 and 4. My children have had times in their lives that involved major moves to new counties, employment of only one parent, (while I stayed at home to bring up the children). My husband is not a high paid CEO. Sometimes money was really tight so my kids have not lead a charmed life but just an every day normal life like most of us.
